It is now August 2007and nearly six years since my husband died

and time for me to write some new things

A couple of years ago I met the author of 'Beauty from Ashes' Jennifer Rees Larcombe

What a wonderful lady who adds humour as she speaks

The site is written is for the new widow/widower

for those struggling and depressed on the journey of grief

and for parents raising children/teenagers on their own.

My heart goes out to you and here is a big hug to warm you

and give you strength to carry on

I reflect on the journey of grief and it is clear to me how

emotions are all over the place. Most of the site is

what I have found helpful along the way and as Beauty finally rises from Ashes

I feel I am in a better place to share encouragement and inspiration

with others on the Journey of Grief

I have turned to the links on this site many times myself

and still do to find comfort and strength in difficult times

and also to find ecards for special occasions

I have written here to share with you where I have found hope and inspiration following the death of my husband from cancer on October 15 2001. My two girls were then age 9 and 11.
Having worked in Intensive Care for many years as a nursing sister I had met and cared for many families who lost loved ones.
Until my own bereavement I did not know about the stages of grief.
Just how do you cope and where do you find help?
In the pages that follow I will share with you some words of inspiration and encouragement.
